Would you like to spend a few hours each week helping to fundraise for your local cancer support centre? 

A bit about Harbour Cancer Support and this role

Harbour Cancer is a local charity, offering much needed support to families going through cancer. We are able to keep supporting local people who are affected by cancer every year thanks to the donations we receive from members of the public, local organisations and groups. Due to the pandemic, we have not been able to fundraise at all. We would like to kick start a fundraising group. Our fundraisers will have the exciting and varied role of helping plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to help keep our centre running. 

We would like to be able to have a small group of fundraisers working together as a team and putting on events all to benefit Harbour Cancer Support.

Skills

• Planning fundraising events and activities like cake sales, quiz nights, fayres, attending fundraising events.

• Keeping the charity informed on funds raised from fundraising events.

• Raising awareness and promoting the charity. 

• Following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences, permits are obtained for events.

• Planning, organising and promoting fundraising events and collections with other group/committee members

• Collecting funds/raffle prizes  on behalf of the charity

• Attending group meetings.

• Working on your own and in a team.
