If you want to make a positive impact for people in the Gosport area you can help by ensuring the local Citizens Advice is sustainable and meeting the needs of the community. Citizens Advice Gosport is seeking additional trustees to join the board.

We are a charity that supports residents of Gosport by providing free, confidential and impartial advice through a team of paid and highly trained volunteer staff. On average we help over 3,700 people each year and last year obtained £3.1m on behalf of clients.

The trustee board, working with and supporting the Chief Officer, sets strategy, develops the Business Plan and monitors performance.

We are looking to recruit trustees with experience of managing, whether in a business, charity or public sector environment. We are particularly looking for people with experience of human resources, public relations and marketing, information technology, and making grant applications.

The trustee board usually meets monthly in the early evenings with occasional ad hoc meetings and activities .

You will have the opportunity to become involved in specific projects or activities which may involve attending other meetings or carrying out work at home.

Equity, diversity and inclusion are core to everything we do and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.

Full training and induction will be provided.

Come and join us and make a positive impact.

If you feel you can give your time and experience as a trustee to this highly regarded charity please telephone 02392 604605 and speak to Georgina or email to arrange an informal discussion with our Chair of Trustees.
