Successful day at Employment Fair

Staff and Volunteers from Gosport Voluntary Action spent a productive day at the annual Gosport Employment and Skills Fair, promoting both volunteering opportunities and paid roles within GVA projects. With 51 exhibitors and a staggering 618 visitors it was a great opportunity to engage with the local community and highlight the benefits of volunteering to develop skills, gain valuable experience, enhance your CV and most importantly make a difference.     The team spoke with 60 local people, made 7 appointments to discuss volunteering opportunities further and gathered several CVs of those interested in progressing a career in the voluntary sector. Loud and Proud, GVA’s volunteering group for 16-25 year olds were on hand to welcome visitors to the event and provide refreshments.  A very successful day all round!  If you are interested in volunteering, please search our roles click here  or to find out more click here.
