Notice of AGM 2023
We’re a little late in announcing our AGM arrangements this year as we’ve been co-ordinating various diaries and reflecting on changes to GVA’s position and the desirability of trying to hold a hybrid online and in-person meeting.
Our AGMs have traditionally composed of two elements – the formal section with minutes, accounts and motions and a separately funded event providing insight and experience for our members. This year we do not have funding for such an event.
Our conclusion is that we wish to offer the widest possible access to the formal section as this is a primary route for our members to hold the chair and the board to account and get an update on the performance and position on GVA. This year the AGM will be held as a hybrid meeting held on Teams and in person in the GVA offices at Martin Snape House, this will contain the usual agenda of minutes, election of members of the Council of Management, the activities of the GVA in the past year and will then take questions from Members present. It will be held on 7th December.
We require at least 10% of our GVA Membership to attend the AGM to enable the voting in of our Board, so if you’re a GVA Member, please join us if you can.
