Are you ready to take action, help support your local community and enjoy a great evening of musical delights? If so, please follow this link to book your tickets today!
Founded in 1974, the Cowbridge Male Voice Choir, hailing from the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, aims to perpetuate the great Welsh tradition of male voice choral singing with a broad repertoire of music, to the delight of diverse present day audiences. The Choir, which is passionate about supporting charitable causes through fundraising concerts, has travelled widely in Europe and North America. For a sneak peek into the wonderful world of the Cowbridge Male Voice Choir, please visit their website here.
By participating in activities as varied as litter picking, stewarding at local events, fundraising for local charities, community gardening and so much more, our kind-hearted, generous and talented Community Spirit members – many of whom struggle with low self-esteem, learning disabilities or mental health challenges – go above and beyond for our local community of Gosport, striving tirelessly to make our Borough a safer, happier and healthier environment for us all.
More recently, through their burgeoning Community Spirit Allotment, the group are reaping the many mental health benefits associated with connecting with nature – including a greater sense of calm, boosted confidence and enhanced wellbeing – all whilst learning about how to grow, prepare and cook food in a healthy, low-cost and environmentally sustainable way. Read more about the Community Spirit Allotment project here.
Thanks to the unfaltering commitment and dedication of this kind-hearted, talented group, the Community Spirit allotment has been going from strength to strength over recent months. Now, to help them boost their resources and continue the great work, we’re hoping to raise funds for the Community Spirit Allotment through the sale of tickets for this one-night only performance from the Cowbridge Male Voice Choir!
Will you join us? Doing so will help our fantastic group of local adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health struggles to continue their work on the allotment, which not only benefits our local environment, but also has bountiful positive impacts on the members’ mental health, wellbeing and confidence.
