New members are invited to join Gosport Voluntary Action’s community volunteering group, VoluntHeroes, starting in the New Year at the Henry Cook Centre (formerly Waterside Community Church) on Tuesday 22nd January, 11am to 1pm.
Tackling volunteer projects in Gosport, members of this new group will learn new skills, meet new people and develop their confidence. The group is for people aged 25+ and welcomes anyone who feels they need some support to volunteer. If you have a disability, mental health issues or face other barriers to volunteering or work, please get in touch.
Co-ordinator Sue Greene says: ‘I am really looking forward to starting this new community group. We will build a volunteering team together, learn about other community groups in Gosport and find out how we can help them, while at the same time developing our own confidence in a supportive environment.’
