Gosport Voluntary Action regrets to inform local residents, clients, partners and friends that, due to staff sickness, our Advocacy Support Service is currently suspended, until further notice. Advocacy Volunteers Needed!

Are you a kind, compassionate ‘people person’, looking to make a real difference to an older or vulnerable person in need of some support? If so, and if you are calm, empathic and an excellent listener with a willingness to share and learn new skills, we’d love to welcome you to our team as an Advocacy Volunteer. Given our current staffing shortage, we need Advocacy Volunteers now more than ever, so if you’re able to offer your time and skills in this all-important role on a long-term basis to help support a local older or vulnerable person in the Borough of Gosport, please do get in touch via our Go Volunteer web portal.

As an Advocacy Volunteer, you will be helping a local older or vulnerable person to:

• Access information and services
• Be involved in decisions about their lives
• Explore choices and options
• Defend and promote their rights and responsibilities
• Speak out about issues that matter to them

As such, this particular volunteer role promises to be highly impactful and rewarding, and will offer the chance to build first-rate professional experience to boost your CV and career prospects.
