“Everyone has the right to volunteer and should have equal access to positive volunteering opportunities without experiencing unfair discrimination.”
GVA’s Supported Volunteering project helps people of all ages, regardless of mental or physical disability, who wish to gain confidence generally and hopefully progress to volunteering independently. It offers a free-of-charge, multi-week course called ‘Preparing to Volunteer’, which is a broad-based introduction to volunteering, as well as an inclusive volunteering team, Community Spirit, with a varied programme of activities.
